4 Liveries Lecture

The 2017 Four Liveries Lecture this year is being organised by the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. The Guest Speaker will be the Astronomer Royal, Baron Rees of Ludlow, whose theme is the use of precision instruments in expanding our knowledge of the universe: “From planets to galaxies: how precision measurements have expanded cosmic horizons”.

Venue:         Painters’ Hall, 9 Little Trinity Lane, London EC4V 2AD (closest tube is Mansion House)

Please note the change of venue - Glaziers/Scientific Instrument Makers’ Hall, where the Lecture is usually held, will be closed for refurbishment this summer.

Timings:      6.00 pm                       Doors open - assemble in Painters’ Hall - cash bar

                   6.30 - 7.30 pm              The Lecture

                   7.30 – 7.45pm              Questions and discussion

                   7.45pm                        Two course dinner plus cheese board

                   9.30pm                        Carriages

Cost:            £70 for the lecture and dinner including wine, or £35 per head for the lecture only.
