The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers (WCSM) was founded in 1629, making us the oldest independent optical body in the world. We are a City Livery Company, one of the original trade bodies of the City of London. These companies still play a major role in the governance of the City as well as giving over £67m to charities at home and internationally each year.
